Mandatory Safety Procedures

Elite Football Academy (EFA) COVID-19 Worker Infection Protocol

 

Prompt identification and isolation of potentially infectious individuals is a critical step in protecting coaches, athletes, parents, and others at various programs throughout the year 2021

 

  • Identification of Exposure: Elite Football Academy (EFA) shall direct anyone with COVID-19-related symptoms to leave the facility of the program they are participating and immediately contact their healthcare provider.
     
  • The Mass Department of Health (DPH) or the local board of health will make the appropriate notifications to those who had prolonged contact with the COVID positive worker if applicable.

 

EFA shall identify any potential exposures, including:

 

  • Coaches, athletes, parents, or others with close contact with the individual
  • Equipment, footballs, etc.
  • Common areas, such as tables and sanitary facilities

 

Notification and Quarantine Requirements:

 

  • As provided by law, the identity of the person infected must be kept confidential.
  • Upon learning of a confirmed COVID infection, that person will be required to quarantine and not allowed to participate in any EFA-related program for up to 14 days.

 

Sanitation Requirements:

 

  • After a person with COVID-19-related symptoms has been confirmed, EFA will take immediate steps to sanitize any and all shared equipment and common areas of use.
  • Identified areas should remain isolated until the sanitation process has been completed and the area is deemed safe for use again.

 

Returning to Participate:

 

  • All impacted persons should follow CDC and DPH recommended steps concerning return to participate in any and all EFA programs.
     
  • Infected persons must provide a negative test to EFA management before being allowed back into the program to participate.

 

In All Cases:

 

  • EFA will not be held liable for anyone that contracts COVID-19, and credits will not be issued for time or weeks missed in any program.
  • EFA will ask all coaches, athletes, parents, and others to practice proper sanitation while participating and monitor for any and all flu-like / COVID-19 symptoms in an attempt to lower the risk of contracting this virus.
